Track & Field is the largest sport on campus at West Ouachita. On an average year, we have 80-110 student-athletes on roster of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. There is strength in numbers in track & field. Almost 10% of West Ouachita High School’s student body participates in Track & Field. The issue with track & field is that the sport costs a lot of money, but does not make much money. Whereas basketball & baseball hosts 30 games a year, track & field hosts one large track meet a season. This event alone is not enough to support all of our expenses, so we require community support through crowd source fundraising. Our goal to support all of our expenses this season is $13,665. Below you will find a financial perspective detailing where every dollar of this money will go. In 2021, your athletes were part a team that won several meets, beating the likes of West Monroe, Ruston, Ouachita, Alexandria, and Neville at our regular season finale, the Little Caesar Chief Relays. Method 1: Cash or Check- Simply contact the athlete who submitted your email or phone number. Give them your donation. They will receive a receipt for your donation. If you do not know which athlete submitted your email, there is a roster at the bottom of this page. You can also email me to ask at kadebatey@opsb.net.
Method 2: Online Donations- Follow the link below to donate online. OSMSINC is a website contracted by OPSB because it is safe and secure. They take a $1 processing fee, which is trivial compared to the 30% fee (not a typo) taken by WeFund4U in last season’s fundraiser.
