National Honor Society
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
West Ouachita High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is a student-led organization that is community service-driven. The West Ouachita Chapter of NHS is dedicated to character, scholarship, leadership, and service. The NHS makes contributions to the school and the community.
The purposes of this organization are to:
- Create enthusiasm for scholarship
- Stimulate a desire to render service
- Promote leadership
- And develop character in the students of secondary schools.
Grade Level: 10th -12th grade
Criteria:
- 3.5 Cumulative G.P.A.
- No Major Referrals
- Meet Community Service Hours Requirement Each Semester
Membership Applications can be picked up in the second full week of school. Students will receive open enrollment information during morning announcements. They will also join our Google Classroom–the code can be found on the application.
