I graduated May 2005 from West Monroe High School and continued my education at Louisiana Tech Univeristy where I majored in History with a double minor in psychology and architecture. As a school counselor, I attend several meetings each year to learn and collaborate with all the Ouachita Parish counselors. In addition to those meetings, I attend Jumpstart Convention each year and continually go to trainings and meetings hosted by the Department of Education and our own school system.
In the 2004-2005 school year I began working with the Ouachita Parish Student Support Services as a student worker under WMHS COE program. I worked through college with them and the last year before I came to WOHS I worked under Title II for the parish. In Fall 2011, I began at WOHS as the freshman counselor and have remained in that capacity since.
My family of two is made up of me and my daughter. She means the world to me and knows it. We have a dog, Tinkerbell, and two cats, Bella and Carly.
When I’m not working, I’m usually found playing games and being with my daughter. We also along with a family friend bake cakes, cookies and treats as a side job.
